If any of you use ADAMS / LSA, help with the following is greatly appreciated http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The scenario is a few of us are trying to familiarize ourselves with this program by modelling last year's car with it. We have most of the pickup points entered. The one area that is giving us a major headache is the bellcrank rotation axis.

What do I need from the bellcrank on the car to put that into (x,y,z) so that it'll show up in the program properly?

Thanks

are you using a construction frame? If so, you can just enter the euler angles for your bellcrank csys if i remember correctly

If you are using a hardpoint table, there are two values to concern yourself with bellcrank_pivot, and bellcrank_pivot_orient (if memory serves me correct).

Bellcrank pivot: the point defined by the mid-plane of your bellcrank and the bellcrank axis

Pivot_orient: any other point in space along the bellcrank axis
