Hey Racers hiee.. I'm in the cooling system department of our team..i have gone through the forums many times and they have helped me very much..but i wanted to know how to go about 'ducts'..its fine that its better to have diverging, converging but i wanted to know
1. how to calculate the length using bernoulli's equation?
2. how much should be the opening area of the duct?
Thanks guys http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Youi didnt look very hard!
This came up on the first page!

http://www.ch601.org/resources/rad%20ducting.htm

Okay, I will admit it is about aircraft, but it is still a technical paper about ducting the radiator on a liquid cooled engine!

A couple of pages later i found a PDF paper from the Uni of Toronto on their radiator ducting.

A search of this forum found previous thread on this exact topic! (You have worked out how to search the forum, havent you? Then you havent read the 'Read This First' sticky that is there for people like you!)

Why am I wasting my time for you? I think you are just lazy slackass and looking for easy answers, so get off your fat butt and do some study!
