I am trying to conduct a static study on SolidWorks for the brake rotor. I have a thermal study done and am following the youtube video posted by solidworks for the static study (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT1svFOzriI). I am analyzing an assembly of the brake rotor and hub. I get through applying the different loadings but when I try to run the study I get an error saying "Thermal expansion coefficient (Alphx) is not definied for element 7607." and then the simulations stops. I am not sure how to define the coefficient for that element or if that is even possible.
When I was running the thermal study analysis a message popped up when applying the convection. I try to "Select all exposed faces" to apply the convection but an error comes up with "One of the body might be non-manifold or invalid." So then I have to individually select the exposed faces.
It feels like these two errors may be coinciding with each other but I am not sure.
Has anyone had this problem before or knows what may be wrong? I may just start over from scratch but that is the last resort.
Thanks
