It's been a year since the last F4i cad request post, so I igured it's about time. (hence, yes, I've searched) If I had hopes of getting a blown up f4i to take apart and measure, I'd do it, but I don't. Perople say the F4i and F4 are "similar".....what the hell does that mean?

The point is, I'd like to see if anyone has any good f4i models or drawings to share? I can do it myself, but ours is a SMALL team, and I don't have itme to do it right, and I'd rather not do it half ass (my engine mounting will have to be pretty precise, the way we're doing the car this year).

Anyway, tell me whatcha got. (boulware <at> gmail <dot> com)

Please send me a copy of that Pro-e model. It looks like many of us were having problems with the engine model...

By the way, guys, if you open the Pro-E file with Solidworks, it'll convert it to a Solidworks file. Thanks for sending this out. Looks great!

I'd be interested in that model if someone could please send me a copy. Does anyone know if this is the same Pro/E model that's been floating around for a few years? I believe it was roughly cad'ed by Enrico Diano from UofT. If it hasn't been updated then the mounting locations are garbage.

Please send it to gareth_kenworthy (at) hotmail.com

Thanks!!

Let me add myself to this group...we haven't had an engine in any of our models that wasn't for purely looks. Anywho, a Pro/E document would be awesome. dgraing at clemson.edu

Hey guys,

I'm starting to have a hard time keeping track of who I've sent this to. If you would please e-mail me if you still need a copy instead of posting here. I only check here once every few days.

the proe file is academic version and can't be opened in regular proe (so I can't get into it), but the iges works fine.

I have a CBR600f4i model that we created and used with success. The model was created by someone whos family owns a machine shop and he used their equipment. When fabbing our chassis we just put a spare junk motor where we wanted it and built everything around that so we could be sure it would work. afterward everything with the chassis seemed in check with what the model said it should be. If someone can host it for me (our schools web server only allows .jpgs) I would be happy to share. I didnt make it so I cant say its 100% accurate but it worked well enough for us.

email me at wazzu70 at gmail dot com if you want to compare it to your current model and/or host it.
