I need to know if there is another method, other than given in the book Design in Mechanical Engineering Shigley (given by the American chain Association), to calculate the transmission chain of the formula SAE, as I have tried with this method but the chain does not resist (because a small center distance). However, I saw in several pictures rather short chain drives.
If anyone knows a workaround to this problem, I would be grateful if you tell me.
