Just out of curiosity really, what sort of weight are the tyres most people are using?

Our new slick (aramid/nylon radial) is 4.93Kg (10.87lb) and I was just wondering whether that's comparable with the benchmark tyres in the competition.

Ben

I believe the Hoosiers are around 8-9lb, Goodyear around 10lb, Michelin around 13lb.

Whens that Dunlop becoming available? Any info on them? Website?

Our Hoosier 7x13x20.5 R25Bs were consistently 11lbs brand new. Hope this helps.

No website at the moment. If anyone needs spring rates and an inflated profile PM me. I'm looking to get rolling radii done before the UK comp.

Looks like the weight is ball park with other brands. Tread gauge is 6mm so a lot of the mass is in that.

We're supplying two UK and up to 10 German Uni's FOC for FS and FSG and I'd like to be able to sell some tyres from towards the end of the year subject to demand. If demand is there it will be easier to get a reasonable number built.

I'll keep people posted through the summer.
