In respect to the rule B3.21.9
No part of the anti-intrusion plate (AIP) may permanently deflect more than 25.1 mm (1 inch) beyond the position of the anti-intrusion plate before the test.
I want to do some simplify FEA on the AIP. I right in thinking in applying force that act of the centre of the over the area of the design impact attenuator. The force I am using is the maximum allowable average force.
Force = Mass x Acceleration F=m x a = 300x(9.81x20) F= 58860 N.
This the correct realistic for to apply to the plate, it sounds too much?
