Just trying to get a gauge on where averyon is at. Who has a rolling chassis? Who is driving? I think we're a little ahead of the curve (especially for a 1st year team). We made donuts last night http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Also, they let you drive on city streets? And at night?

that's awsome,
the campus cowboys up here don't even want us to drive in parking lots let alone the roads on campus

Congrats to UK for getting their car driving and turning donuts. She looks quick.. if only I can get those uprights done, that engine tuned, those brakes and pedals and seatbelts and radiators and drivetrain and shocks installed.. maybe then I can be driving too! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Thanks Guys! Yeah for some reason, the cops are cool with us here. We all got to go to the police driving school.

The local SCCA region also has an event on the police's training course just outside of town. I think they are going to have a SCCA Divisional there, but it's the same weekend as the Detroit comp. We're going to West, but we want to make it up to Detroit to observe, and maybe harass our cross state brethren (Louisville).

Yes there is snow on the ground, but it's just salt on the roads and parking lot. A few puddles, but nothing major. It was like 31F when we left the shop. It was cold to say the least, but would it matter to you? NO

Cool, nice job on gettin it done so quickly. I saw two things I never thought would be in Britain; Washington Ave., and a chevy pickup. I didn't see those in the Bourne Identity, or in any James Bond movies for that matter.

No mention of a restrictor plate... wonder if that has to do with it?

LOL. One of our guys took the liberty of editing the video without looking at a spec sheet. I guess he got a couple of specs off of the "planning sheet" (ie stock CBR600F4i ~ 96hp)

Absolute: UK = University of Kentucky USA, not United Kingdom. Beleive me, there are pleanty of Chevy trucks w/ dual exhaust around. Three on our team. This is bowtie country man.... (I drive a mazda...)

Congrats UK! Looking real good, especially for a first year team. If you come to Detroit, I know you are gonna cheer for UC over UL right??

BTW, Its all about Torque... hp is just the bi-product, hehe (okay, i will stop now before we start another discussion on this thread)

Oh yea, and we are basically waiting for our Diff housing to be finished and we will be moving under our own power.

Juiced, since your car will be done soon are you guys gonna come autocross with us soon?

Fun event in Lexington on 3/19! Its right off I 75, probably only 45-60 mins from you guys!

EDIT
-----
Damn, there are two events at river downs before then. You guys ever autocross w/ the cinci region? Are they cool. Central KY is very cool.

We will be ready for a full day as soon as we sort out a cooling isssue (barring any unforseen problems).
