what sprocket size is normally employed on the differential for power transmission from the engine to the diff (torsen diff being the diff used)

The answer to that is really subjective. It depends alot on the gearing of the transmission, what size tires your using. We've run differential sprockets from 46 to 52 teeth over the last few years. Eventually we settled on a 4:1 final drive and have been really happy with the acceleration vs top speed.

I have seen 11:63 ratios, I have seen 14:50 ratios. With the slow speeds and multiple gears you have a lot of options. Just keep in mind what your limiting factors are.

We ran a 13/53 last year, and plan on going with a 11-13 up front and a 55 in the rear with possibly removing 1st.

Last years drivers never got out of 3rd other than accel.

We try to keep it as close as possible to 4:1. We may go with somthing slighty shorter this year, (4.2:1) if we can get the rear sprocket to fit.

What are the primary gear ratios in the engins you guys are running? We are using a 2000 Kawasaki ZX-6R. It has a primary ratio of 2.022 and first gear is 2.92 . We have a final ratio of 53/14. We have some packaging issues but if we can get away with it we will also try a 13 tooth drive sprocket.
