Does your team have a Facebook and/or a Twitter profile?

Thanks!

Facebook and Flickr.

The facebook is more for the new team members and their families to see what their kids are building. Flickr acts as a photo resource and automatically generates nice presentations for our sponsors...

An example of what flicker can make for you

Yes and Yes, although both could use more frequent updating.

Yep! Definitely helps for alumni and sponsor relations.

We also have both. Twitter is great during competitions.

Facebook (group) and Twitter (not so used).

Our website has the news section linked with a mailing list. When someone post a news, it is sent to subscribers.

We are also on Picasa and Youtube.

We have a Facebook page and a Twitter account, though I think we are not getting their full potential out of them.

We also have a LinkedIn group which is restricted to current and former team members and current sponsors. This is nice because companies can post job openings there, or internships etc.

Kind regards,

Facebook. Yes and updated a lot, we have no justification for twitter, as many members and friends don't really have a twitter. We do have a Linkedin for current and previous members though.

We sort of have a facebook page, but it never gets touched for whatever reason. No one really uses twitter here, so nothing there.

Then again our website doesn't get updated much either

Facebook is linked to our twitter account, update one, update all.

I am very surprise by the number of teams with twitter accounts. I don't know anyone with an account even.

We've just redone our team website, with more of a focusing on our social media accounts. We've also got a signup form for our mailing list front and center on our new website (sign up dammit!)

Never had a Facebook page when I was in FSAE as a student - webpages were new then http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Just got one up and running for PE though...

Thanks for all the responses, folks!

Between our facebook page (facebook.com/TeamGFR), and a blog I've launched (racecar-guy.com), we're trying to connect fs/fsae teams from around the world. It's difficult enough to make a car, so that's where people like me come in -- there's plenty of us out there.

We'll link to various facebook pages if you have one.

Cheers!

Good idea Anthony! I suggest you run this through FStotal, as this is an already existing platform for FS/FSAE. Would be better to cooperate, no?

Cheers,
Jasper

Hey Jasper,

Actually, I sent FSTotal a message about it! I'm hoping to hear from them soon. Thanks for the tip!

Also, if you (or anyone) has some "convergence" advice, I'd love to hear it. Seeing as I'm not in the technical side of things (directly), it get tough sometimes thinking of ways to interest the folks leading these teams.

Cheers,

Ant
