Hi,
We are planning on using the alternative frame rules this year and have been simulating all the loads that have been listed in Ansys. In terms of the failure criteria where it lists tensile, compression, buckling, shear etc. what does this mean in terms of analysis? We have basically done a von misses study for each case and obtaining a FOS through the materials yield strength.
Is that enough to prove it will not fail? Or is more required? Also what about the submission of the nastran analysis, how do you do that if you didn't use nastran for it?
