Hey all, my name's Alex, I'm a freshman, and I'm heading an effort to start a team here at Stanford. We're aiming for the '07 competition. If any of you guys know Josh Arvizu from UNM last year, he's gonna be mentoring me and the team. anyways, i had an excellent talk with him today about FSAE and what it's gonna take to put all this together. Any of you all have any advice for a new team?

As an underclassman, make sure to keep your GPA up so you can get in to your department (if that's how your school works) and/or grad school if that's important to you. It's easy to get in over your head with FSAE...
There's an SAE paper on our website explaining the basics of FSAE car design, written by two of our former team members.
