Hi all,

We have been trying to improve upon our desing report each year but it seems that it's not enough as we end up performing very poorly in the design event. probably our report is not up to the mark, maybe not exhaustive enough! Can you guys pl forward me a copy of your older design reports so that we can have a look into how you people go about the report?

Thanks

Good luck. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Any team willing to give away their design report is NOT the type of team you probably want to emulate. What's to say what they give you is good?

You are putting too much blame for your poor design score on your report. You need to look at what you do in the design event. How you explain your design process. Also, look at your design process itself! The report is only a small part of it. It's a resume, that can give the judges an idea of how good your design is. But like an interview, after it's over the resume isn't really a large factor in the outcome.

Check out the Aussie site newsletters http://www.sae-a.com.au/fsae , one of them had good info on the design report, and some guidelines to follow.

You r right. nobody gives out their design report and its not completely on the report. its just that i thought of trying to improve on that bit also and for that i am all open to suggestions.
