hey guys,

i'm starting to get into real problems in sourcing an external fuel pump with screw fittings for our '03 r6. What pumps are you guys using this year? I've been talking with most of the local auto shops but not much luck in finding something to our needs. all i've found so far is a goss ge067. Appreciate any advice. cheers

Try the pump described in previous posts:

Good luck!

thanks brian. i had considered this but figured it would be harder to find by being an american car not offered in australia. But also haven't heard everyteam in the world running this pump so there must be more.

what places in america are likely to distribute this pump? Or what places have teams found helpful?

Take it for what you will, but in general I have found many off brand (non-oem) parts to have quality issues. This includes many different parts, not only fuel pumps. In my experience it was better to charge the customer more for parts than to do the job twice in a year. As far as the Ford fuel pump, I believe you MAY get a higher quality pump if you buy it from the Ford dealer. You should be able to easily set up an account with local dealerships to get a significant savings over retail pricing.

We've had pretty good luck so far with a Walbro fuel pump. We used an external in-line pump but i'm pretty sure they have in-tank ones as well.

hi ... http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I am Darshan from India ... dis is our first year in FSAE . I'm looking for an external fuel pump suited fo Honda CBR 600 f4i . we're using the stock fuel rail but cant use d stock pump due to our tank specs ... i want a pump with abt 80-90 psi with flw rate more than abt 15-20 GPH . the Walbro GSL393 is quite near 2 wat I want but its not available here locally . nor did I get a Ford pump ... can U suggest any other suitable pump ?

Thank U ...

you can usually find something for cheap that you can slap a regulator on to get the pressure you need.
