Hi
I am currently looking at a number of different electronic shift systems that I could hopefully use on our car for this year. The companies that I have spoken to so far are Translogic, Pro Shift and Kliktronic. So far I have not got much information from the companies themselves about the systems they use.
Has anybody used any of these systems? If so was it any good for shift time, power consumption, weight and reliability? So far I have had mixed reviews about a lot of electronic shifters.

Also we currently have a Motec M800 ECU, does anybody know if it is possible to control these systems directly through our ECU (rather than the companies control units)?

Thanks in Advance

Yes it is possible to do your shift system directly with the M800. You will need:
-compressor
-air tank
-solenoids
-actuator

I recommend www.viaircorp.com (http://www.viaircorp.com) and www.macvalves.com (http://www.macvalves.com)

You could always go with a relay board, two buttons, and a Dewalt drill motor. If you're not careful though, you could end up spending more than $75 http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
