Hey everyone. I'm from Bradley University and our team is running the Genesis 80fi this year. We are trying to get a hold of an AutoCAD model of the engine. Really it can be done in any modelling software. If anyone could help or knows were I could get this that would be great.

Go measure it. To begin with, you do not need a nice llooking cad model. You only need mounting points, output position and intake/exhaust flange positions, which can be measured quite accurately. Everything else is just a "blackbox"; a placeholder which doesn't even has to look like an engine.

Exactly what Harry said.

However, if you have access to advanced measuring devices such as a Faro arm, a laser scanner (not a copy maching, look it up if you don't know), some sort of point cloud picture software, or an army of freshman to just do CAD of the main engine pick up points and places where fluids tend to enter and spew out of http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif , then you can do it yourself.

Another option would be to contact someone who has these things, such as a precision machine shop, some industry manufactures, etc.

Or...guess.

Good luck.
