Last friday we had the launch of the 2004 car from the University of Birmingham.
We are making a big step forward this year with a 99% new car including a carbon monocoque and a Yamaha R6 engine instead of the traditional Honda CBR. Unfortunately the monocoque was delayed due to the workload of our composites partner EPM:Technology.
As such, we think we might have topped Monash's scooter in a hour, with a spaceframe in two weeks during all our coursework deadlines.
Big respect is also due to Le Mans 24 hour winner Guy Smith for driving a couple of hundred miles just to launch our car. Team Audi Sport UK have got a new fan club :-)
