hello there

does anyone have any tips on a quick release mechanism, tips such as companynames or any particular types! I have sourced one for £130 pounds but that just seems a bit too expensive.

comments would be much appreciated!!

Do you mean for a steering wheel?

You can get cheap-o ones for with a Hex, but its going to be a little sloppy. If you want connectors built in, price starts going up even farther.
Don't have any company names off the top of my head, esp in the UK.

We had gone ours for $100 but I dont remember where! Anyway I think Pegasus Auto Supplies has them! Make sure you use a splined shaft! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Search a bit on the forum.

You could get it from several places. Check Chassis shop, Pegasus Auto, Sparco and much more.
