A friend of mine was telling me about a graphite type of tape used in motorcycle applicaions on the exhaust system. Is anyone familiar with this and what the advantages may be?

The only advange is that it will absorb any oil spilled on it and then set your car on fire once the exhaust gets hot.

I believe it's suppose to help prevent the heat from the exhaust damaging other parts of the car but as Akos said it absorbs oil and catches fire
