530 chain sprocket

Where can i get drawing for a rear sprocket, or how to draw ir for 530 chain?
Tooth number no matter.
Because i can't get required size..

i'm not building formula SAE, it's just a rear engined kit car, but you guys inspired me to start my project.

530 sounds like a good choice then. After designing about a dozen rear sprockets for our car in 2005, I recommend that you look about how to create a proper tooth profile in the Machiner's Handbook. It gives you every referrence distance that you would need after a few steps of simple math. Just plug them into any CAD package for one tooth, and rotate... and then you have yourself a proper blank sprocket.

I have drawn it with solidworks. I have one question about tooth profile which is visible perpendicular to sprocket axis and what steel is better to use and hardening?

With Machiner's Handbook is little bit dificult i can get them, but i am sure that they do not have information about motorcycle chains and sprockets.

520 and 530 motorcycle sprockets have the same tooth profile as a series 50 industrial sprocket. Both are 5/8" pitch with a .400" roller. The 50 series are thicker, but that doesn't change the tooth geometry.

I'm not sure about steel, but sprocket specialists use 7075 T6 aluminum. It's a little on the expensive side but super light and quite strong.
