Thanks for all your answers to the last question about aluminum rotors but here is a new one.

I have a chance to get some 40 rockwell die plate from work. It has been ground and is close to the right thickness(minus .015). I could send it to get laser cut into rotors. Would this be a good material? Would it be prone to cracking because of the hardness. 40c is not to hard anyway. I know it would wear well anyways. thanks Chad
