Translogic Shifter, anyone here use?

Does anyone here have any experience with the electronic shifter solutions that they sell? I contacted them and they told me this model is very popular with SAE teams:

I really like the Powershift linear actuator, we already have our own electronics that would hopefully work with it. But does anyone have good/bad experience with the actuator, or the package as a whole (Their PS1 package that is).

We used one last year but we didnt have much time to dial it in. So dont take my experience for gospel. I would say that shift times are a bit slow. For the cost and weight it seems that using your hand and a light weight lever would be just as good, and simpler. Also, were looking into selling it, I can take some pics of the unit if youre interested.

Yeah, right now we've reached the evolutionary stage where we'd like to test out different shifting systems. From here, future teams can at least use our experiences to decide if they would like to go back to the simpler mechanical designs or continue to innovate on our designs.

Brunel Racing run the PS3 (http://www.translogicuk.com/ps3.htm). It's ok, but we find the manual more reliable, the powershifter sometimes misses and you're not quite sure what's going on then... losing valuable time.
The auto upshift is good, it's got an injector cut on it, but it doesn't seem to like doing it towards the rev limiter.
There is also a lot of force in the actuator, you can see our frame bend about 10mm where it connects to it...

We have just bought a translogic powershifter and are finding it slower then expected. Did anyone else have this problem and manage to over come it?
