Hey guys ive been practicing with the TTC force curves for our Hoosiers and i saw something that its giving me the creeps about tire selection.

See one of the best results i got was the Hoosier 20.5x6-13, and im about to tell my team, hey these are the ones! but when i saw the tire ID, in the description column it says that they arent Road Racing, they are 41CP, i browse that on the internt and turns out that the tires are made for Drag racing.

The first thing i did to select my tires it was to know wich ones were available, so i went here

http://www.hoosiertire.com/Fsaeinfo.htm

And it said nothing about Drag Races, could these tires work for the Michigan event??

Thanks!!

Wait...where on the TTC data say it's a 41CP? I'm quite sure the only Hoosiers they've ever tested (so far) are R25A and R25B.

The Hoosier 20.5x6-13 tested in TTC Round 2 was the R25A compound. In Round 4 it was R25B.

Well, maybe an image isnt necesary, you guys have the files as well,

In the summary table of the round 2 there are the hoosiers 1051tire41to 44, the description for all of these are 41cp, not road racing, and the code is 43128.

In round 3, the 20.5x6-13 tires are the following,
from 1175tire24 to 25, the description for both are c2000 but the codes R25A, not 43128.

So, R25A arent 43128 right? because as i said before, i saw the data here,

http://www.hoosiertire.com/Fsaeinfo.htm

And i tought they were Formula SAE only, this is the place where it says theyre for drag racing.

R25A is a tread compound. 43128 is the actual product number. Two totally different things. C2000 / C2500 / C4000 I'm not sure what Hoosier uses these for. Maybe some construction designation. I wouldn't pay any attention to it.

The 5 digit number is what is important.

43128 is a SCCA / FSAE tire. That's all that matters.
