As part of my final year project i am investigating different wb construction methods for FSAE but cant seem to find any recommended stiffness data.

Has anyone got any idea of what kind of stiffness is a good value for FSAE?

Thanks

I don't seem to understand? If this is your 'final' year project shouldn't you have an idea of how stiff is stiff enough????????

Seriously, analyze the forces, figure out how deflection will affect your tire patch and make a decision. Usually A-arms are going to be stressed fairly high. The deflection in tension/compression members is fairly low compared to the rest of your outboard structure. There are certainly previous posts on this.
