Hey guys and gals,

Alibre is a wonderful company that helped us out two years ago by sponsoring us with their CAD software. At the time, and even now, we don't have great access to school labs to use those great industrious programs that you can't even pronounce.

Alibre allows users to design together real-time over the internet. We actually had a few sessions online with their staff in order to learn more about their product and to perfect our chassis design. It's also great when getting more people involved in SAE; I hand new members a powerful CAD program versitile enough to work with all other applications used in design and analysis and yet user firendly enough for the feshman to pick up right away - our chassis (21st in Design with others) was designed by a sophomore EE major last fall. Alibre Design has worked well for us.

Greg and the Alibre staff are approachable, understanding and helpful(Think B. Lewis @ PE Engine Management). Greg continues to support us in all regards. Our 2004 FSAE car, designed in Alibre, is at http://sae.ucsd.edu --> Visuals --> chassis TR4. Alibre is at http://www.alibre.com

A local (San Diego) company also using Alibre is KartBoy; they do work in motorsports and also produce some suspension pieces for the Mistubishi Evo http://www.kartboy.com

If anyone else out there is using Alibre, let me know. I'd like to see what you've come up with!
