Hi all, I've got serious problems with an assembly.
I'm using the template downloaded from the site of MSC Adams but there are some markers which I can't understand the meaning.
hps_global regarding the suspension
hps_ground_height_reference and hps_path_reference regarding the chassis.
How I have to set theese parameters?
I can't understand the reason but when i run the simulation of the "Iso lane change", the chassis goes down on the front side, this event generate a sudden turn.
How can I solve the problem?
Thank U all and good luck for the race event!
Bye

I have no idea about your problem. I thought this was a thread about adams aircraft going under.

Sure what it sounded like to me too. Might as well turn it into one! Hijacked!
I know at least 3 ex-FSAE guys are out of jobs now because Adams ran out of cash. I'm sure they'll chime in once the hangover from last night wears off.

...somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 of us as of Monday.
It's a shame, it was a great place to work, good product and lots of fun, sharp people to work with.
...but this is kind of off topic, maybe it could move to another forum? ...and return milord to his original question?
There was a lot of beer, and a lady from the Denver Post was interviewing people at the bar- classic.
Btw, the picture caption in the news story posted above is probably one of my all time favorites. Riiiiiiggghhhhhtttt.

that's very unfortunate, i was applying for the job there last week and didnt see anything on the website that suggested the shutdown.
I know how it feels like. Im working for a local all composite aircraft and it is very slow in terms of orders. Luckily, the composite shop have contracts from 20K bathtub to jetpac for boats, so there are some revenues coming in.
So what are you guys doing now? James, Matt, Travis and the rest?

Yeah, it sucks. It was a super cool group of guys to work with - over a dozen FSAE guys.
I don't think very many of us know what we're doing next.

To all of you Adams guys...
Sorry to hear about the lay-offs. From talking to Matt and James at FSAE West last year, it sounded like a great place to be. I just wanted to let you guys know that if you need a place to go, Scaled is an option. I can get your resumes/CV's to the right people if you think you might fit in here. For those of you who don't know, we've got 5 or 6 FSAE guys here ourselves.
Good luck guys.

Aaron,
How have you guys been doing since the explosion? Is the project still going forward? I watch the 3 part special on the discovery channel and I was just impressed. Best of luck to you all. I love how Burts' designs represent a modern verison of the Germans were working on toward the end of the war. I always wondered if he took some inspiration from Blohm and Voss. Check out the Focke Wulf TRIEBFLUGEL.
