Hi, I'm looking for a reductor for our FS car. All that I find is too heavy. Our electric motor has 80kw peak power, it means 216Nm torque and 3360 top speed. As you know, we won't use this peak for too long. Any idea of what could a I choose for a 3:1 or 3,6:1 reduction?

I thought about two stage of toothed belt too...

We choose a two-stage gearbox for our 2011 and 2012 cars.

It was self-developed, has a reduction of roughly 1:5 and weighs about 3kg for both motors.

The most common approach for a Electric car with one motor should be a normal chain. I would take a look at the GFR eCar for this solution.
