I'm trying to put together good articles and technical reviews of the FSAE event to hand out to new members on the team. I found a Racetech article from the 2004 competition but I know that there is a lot more out there. If anyone has pdf or Word files of any FSAE articles would they be willing to share? I'm sure this could help out everyone.

Hello,
There is a new article obout te FSAE 2005 in the issue #61 of Race Tech. There is a review about 3 of the universities, Western Australia, Cornell University and Universidad Simón BolÃ*var, and their special features... I hope that could help...
There are a lot of sae technical papers writen on fsae cars. You can usually access them through your school library. Just log on and type "fsae" in the advanced search and many will come up. There are also other sae papers of relevance online, too.
Other resources are books. Many are talked about and reviewed on this forum. This forum is another resource to. Just use "Find" and search for various topics.
Another good magazine aside from RaceTech is Racecar Engineering. I got a good deal and just got a 4 year subscription to it.
Also, you can google stuff,too.

We have quite a few SAE papers already. I just think those might be a little bit overkill for giving to new members. I was just wondering if people had PDF versions of any of the past Racetech, Racecar Engineering, and similar articles. More of an overview of the competition or teams that have done well.

They all say the same thing. Cornell dominates. Lots of cool concepts that were finished too late. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
There's a Racecar Engineering from around aug/sep of 2004 that has FSAE stuff in it. I don't have a PDF, but its the issue that has BAR on front and says "Barred" on the cover

Also keep an eye on our website http://www.racecar-engineering.com as there will be an extended report uploaded to the notebook section in the next couple of weeks. Also due on the site is an isight into the Oxford Brookes Isis FS05 which we track tested.

Has no one read the article in the SAE published Automtoive Engineering International? It's the magazine you can opt to subscribe to with your SAE membership. It is 4 pages long and does a very good job on showcasing the process that we go through to design and develop these cars. It also runs through event information and spotlighs certain teams. (Best of all, I am quoted in it -UWO http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif). If you give me your e-maul adress or a web folder I can upload to, I can scan in the article and send it to you.
Cheers!

July 2005- pages 90-93. Unfortunately, this article was not included in the online version of the magazine that you typically get with your standard student SAE membership.

Dont forget the road and track Ultimate Sports Car Test issues with the FSAE cars, those are pretty good ones too.
