I think everyone might be refering to a personal favourite book for their system of interest! can u guyz please share their names and details here so that v can call for the same and use it!

its difficult to find stuff on many systems like braking etc. cuz they r carried as a small chapter in a BIG book,,

So books dedicated to systems would help to get a deep rather than superficial knowledge..

thanks.

Suspension Related:
Race Car Vehicle Dynamics by William F. Milliken and Douglas L. Milliken

The Racing & High-Performance Tire by Paul Haney

etc...

Use the "Find" feature on this forum to search anything you want. I typed in 'books' and 15 pages of topics came up. I'm sure you can find a book just focused on a single part on the car.

Cheers

v = we
r = are
cuz = because
u = you

What stuns me is that you bothered to write all four syllables of superficial without some sort of phonetic basterdisation.

On books I'd agree with the previous poster and also add The Multibody Systems Approach to Vehicle Dynamics by Blundell and Harty.

Phonetic bastardisation! Perfect! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif In previous posts I had been searching for a word or phrase to describe this phenomenon, and couldn't come up with anything suitable. Well done sir.

Staniforth's Competition Car Suspension has always been a favorite of mine.

If you took the time to write a decent sentence you'd find more willing to help. Even if English isn't your first language, people can tell when you are trying, and when you aren't.

If you search this forum you will find more than one thread that is all about this subject and contains lots of great advice on books.

I like Design and Simulation of Four Stroke Engines. It has some pretty useful empiric information as well as a good amount of theory, and it does a good job of trying to convey in a physical sense what is going on in the engine.

I wasn't sure on the etiquette of dropping vowels and consonants, so I just nipped all the vowels this time...

I love it when Americans talk about English like they actually speak it.

Like you Aussies do http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I am surprised you don't call it 'Engie', your country has abbreviations for everything else http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Haha, so true. We Aussies have abbreviated half of the English language.

Hell, the English don't even speak English anymore. Besides, the true issue at hand here wasn't speaking the most proper English, it was about attempting to communicate clearly. Dropping letters and abreviating every other word isn't really an attempt at communicating.
