PipePort - Intake Port with Liquid Fuel Wall Film
This object is used to model the ports of an engine"”the passages inside the head between the manifolds and the cylinder. This template has two capabilities

that are not available when a regular 'Pipe' template is used to model the port: "¢This template allows modeling for port-injection of fuel, including

puddling of the fuel on the walls. When an injector is connected to a 'PipePort' part and Port Injection Object below is used, the injected fuel mass is

divided among vapor fuel, liquid fuel droplets entrained in the air flow, and liquid fuel that is deposited directly onto the port wall forming a fuel film.

The code will model the build-up and evaporation of the liquid film, along with the transport of the film due to shear forces. Evaporation of the entrained

liquid droplets in the air flow is also modeled. The transport modeling of the fuel puddle and fuel droplets will be modeled continuously across adjacent

'FsplitPort' and 'PipePort' parts. Therefore, if a 'PipePort' part does not have an injector itself but is connected to an adjacent to a 'PipePort' or

"FsplitPort' part which has an injector, it will still be modeling puddling and fuel droplets. "¢If the attribute Heat Conduction Object below is used to

calculate the port wall temperature, heat conduction between the wall of the head (as specified in the 'EngCylTWallDetail' or 'EngCylTWallSoln' reference

object) is enabled through the valve. Heat transfer from the head is only permitted with this template.
The friction multiplier and forward and reverse flow coefficients are preset to "0" since this object should only be used to model a port (see Modeling

Cylinder Ports in the GT-Power User's Manual).
