Just wondering how everyone is going with their new cars.

Ive heard that a few people are out driving, including us.

Scanned the team websites the other day and noticed the latest Auckland pics. One of the most interesting cars Ive seen in a while, cant wait to see it at comp. Interested to see how that engine works on that angle. Also impressed that they seem to be building their own rolling road for their wind tunnel. Thats serious.

Yea NZ carbon model looks pretty trick doesn't it. Got out our car out a couple of weeks ago, currently it's getting "blinged" up for our launch on Thursday, I'll post some pics when it's finished.

Well the cats out of the bag now.

1) Yes, the engine is tilted backwards and it's supercharged
2) Yes, we've built a rolling road for our wind tunnel
3) Yes, there is lots of carbon

Will it work? We'll see you in December

Oooo. Want to hint at us how you got your fluids to do their thing with the engine down on its side?

Looks like the entire engine is dry sumped, and knowing the Moke guys they would have the scavenging well sorted.

Half-scale model in full carbon? Sweet.
Dry-sump? Double sweet.
Supercharger? Uber sweet.

What low viscosity resin did you use for the infusion? I want to get my hands dirty with VARTM, but I havn't selected a resin yet.

is it just me or does it look like they're planning to running some powered(through the radiator) ground effects?

Moke

No, the ground effects are not powered using the radiator fans. The radiator is mounted in the right hand side pod.

Oh the bling has been brung. It was a major design factor this year. Also the boat race team has been training too, (I think I'll wear a helmet this year).

DOH! i knew that too. I was just trying to figure out what the cut out was for on the rear engine cover thing. probably just something way less cool like access to parts or the intake...

Yeah there will be a small access hole cut in the back to access the bit hidden within the rear section
