Hi,

the first Formula SAE Italian event will be the 17th of October at the Magione circuit
http://utenti.lycos.it/motormedia/magione.htm

It will be a one day event with Static and Dynamic events....
...the judges are coming from Ferrari, Dallara, Alfa Romeo etc.

It will be run by the FIA Italian branch and the UniversitÃ* degli Studi di Firenze.

Is there anyone interested?

Excelent,...

Can you go any more into detail?

Is this an traditional FSAE event (cost, presentation,...) or are they other rules? (Do we have to speak Italian? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif)

BTW:
Magione?? Is this near Perugia and Lake Trasimeno?

This is a traditional FSAE event, reduced because of the one day available time.

So there are the scruteneering and the Design analysis (with experienced race engineers and race car builders)during the morning, to allow to compete the team without a car (Class 3)too.

During the afternoon there are the dynamic events, for sure the Autocross, the Endurance and may be the skidpad and the acceleration.

The languages are Italian and English.

Magione is in Umbria, near Perugia and the Lake Trasimeno.

Firenze, Modena, Ferrara are registered.

TuGraz, Hamburg and Munchen have shown their interest.

At the beginning of September everything should be defined.

Hmmm... Forse. Se progettato rendere questo allora un evento
normale il più deffinantly! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

(If you plan on making this a regular event... Then deffinantly in the future... Wollongong will be testing their car then, and they need someone to hold Umbrellas... http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif So, sorry Not this year guys http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

It sounds like it will go off though!

Any new registrations for the event?

Lions Racing is thinking about it, depending on the number of cars already registered.

Cheers

Hi all,

the Italian Event was postponed due to the Circuit availability.

The new day is OCTOBER 31st.

Visit the following link to find the official page:

http://www.pcm.unifi.it/FORMULA_STUDENT/UK/News_UK.htm

Because of the day variation, we are waiting for a new confirmation from every team.

Anyone is welcome.

Hi V2, I'm a member of UPMRacing, Madrid (near you at Formula Student event http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif). For this time it will be a little bit late for us. My question is if you thing about organisate this event each year as F-Student. I mean, for the next year perhaps we will think about going there seriously.
PS Sorry for my horrible english level
Ciao e buona competizione

The first Formula SAE ITALIA Event was done the 31st October at the Magione circuit
http://www.autodromomagione.it/

It was a really important event because it should be the beginning of a new SAE event in Europe.
Only five Italian Universities were present, completing the Design Analysis, the Skidpad, the Autocross and the Endurance.
The dynamic events were run on the official track.

Although the italian autumn was coming the weather was really good and the temperature was between 20?C and 24?C. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Stay tuned to know when the next year official event will start.

Hi, which team was the winner of the first Italian Event?

V2 - Italy
11-22-2004, 08:20 AM
Three cars were present and the judges decided that the Event MUST be an exhibition rather than a competition.

The FSAE spirit says that every team was the winner http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif,
and it is real because there wasn't an official result. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Some movies of the dynamic events are available in the MEDIA area:

and others are coming.
