Let's face it, your CRF450X motor is (or will be) wheezing hard trying to push those big wings around. You're going to need another motor and some high-performance parts to go with it. Kettering FSAE needs to clean house of Honda engines and parts and has just what you need. We can bring any of these items to MIS or Formula North or, if you want to steal something out from under someone else who hasn't paid, you can visit us at our shop in Flint (1.5 hours North of MIS) or arrange for shipping.

One timing gear bolt spaced closer to valve cover for sync signal, but the valve cover will have to be modified for a sensor

CRF450R/X piston (lighter than TRX piston, 1 compression ring instead of 2)
Includes starter, stock rotating assembly, stock thermostat, no front engine mount, no gun drilled bolt for rules-compliant intake mounting.
