Hi everyone! I am new here. Also, we are a new team. I am totally confused as to how to start working on the steering system. I have read a lot of threads. I have also read some books and material from the net. I dont seem to get a direction. I am totally clueless about the softwares used. I find something new everytime I read a new topic. It would be a great help if you could refer me to some good books or send me some material or solve my queries..!

Pats right, that's a pretty good place to start and should allow your team to develop a good understanding of the fundamentals. You can easily build upon this design and add features such as rack and pinion steering, adjustable toe and camber, and if your really cleaver dial in a little Ackerman for good measure.

The design should also keep the V.D. guys happy as well. By changing the inertia of the rear rails and front beam you should also be able to quite successful work around any over/under steer issues that you may be confronted with.

I'm in desperate need of people like you stopping asking inane questions on this BB.

A general "Please do it for me" request like this where no demonstration of any individual effort being made on the part of the OP is the total antithesis of this competition.

If you read loads of books and articles and you still don't have a clue, maybe you aren't good enough to design a race car.
