Can I just draw everyone's attention to Pat's latest entry on the FSG site:

As someone in the process of reading FSUK Design Reports at the moment, I agree with all the points mentioned and would add that nearly every report I have received this year has 5 times as much WHAT as WHY when the ratio should be the other way round!
Somehow we need to get team members to read this ready for 2011!
