Which program do you recommend to design the suspension geometry?

On the suspensions I've done work on, I've used excel, Catia, and ProE. I think the numbers are useful, but's it's nice being able to constrain your suspension points and wiggle them around to see what they do.

Give Susprog a go - good little program, gives you all sorts of data about spring rate variation, roll centre migration, etc.

Cheers,

Thank you all, I also found suspen 2d at google helps you find easily the roll centre.

For a easy to use suspension program, try http://www.auto-ware.com. The owner's name is John Block and he is very, very helpful in answering questions. We also use Cosmos Motion (in conjunction with SolidWorks) and Matlab.

Agreeing with Geoff SUSPROG3D is awesome and gave us all the features we needed to design an acceptable susypension system that gave us all the details we needed to meet our design criteria AND answer all questions from design judges.

Ditto on Susprog 3D.,

Takes a little bit of getting used to but once mastered it is very powerful and sensibly priced. We bought 2 licences and it's been worth every cent.
