Does anyone know a supplier for a 5/8x.059 to .25" rod end adapter? Neither AED nor Chassis Shop carries that size.

Thats an odd ball size. You probably have to make them yourself.
A few recommendations for making adapters. Make the adapter without the hole and thread for your rod end.
Weld the adapter into the tube and then drill and tap the adapter. This will ensure your thread is aligned with the tube if you indicate the tube in the lathe before drilling.
Also make sure you don't drill the hole oversized before taping since this will cause unwanted slopp in your thread (you usually have to use a smaller drill than whats recommended to get the correct hole size). Also make sure to us a sharp tap and plenty of cutting fluid when taping. If you have to make a bunch make sure you have spare taps.
