Traction Control Trigger Wheel Packaging

How do teams with traction control package the trigger wheel on the chassis side of the uprights, and by that i mean how do you get the trigger wheels to spin on the chassis side of the uprights i am using ferrous pick-ups....just if you wanted to know.

unless your running a live spindle, i don't see how you would get it to rotate on the chassis side.
