Hey guys, i'm new here, i'm from a brazilian formula team.

I want to know if you could give me some information about any company that produces vehicular balances, because we are having problems with balancing our car with old balances hehe.

Thanks

Longacre makes some really nice scales for balancing a car.

It is expensive though.

My favorite part is that Longacre sells a single scale for weighing fuel cans.....for $700.

My brand spankin' new set of Longacre Accuset 12"x12" scales cost me $928 (shipped) on eBay almost exactly a year ago. The 10"x10" karting scales can be found for even less than that, and usually as a bargain from someone getting out of karting. My scales are good for up to 1100lbs each, and the kart scales are usually good for ~400lbs per pad. So unless you build the fattest FSAE car ever, you should be just fine with a set of kart scales.

We were think about buying a Longacre scale, but the problem is:

for you it will cost, for example 1000 dollars, for us here in Brazil, it will cost 2000 "reais" (1 dollar = 2 reais )plus the cost to import this product.

So it's kind of expensive.. but necessary.

Thanks for all you that helped me =]

Dont forget that Intercomp and Quantum both make decent kart scales as well. Looks like a set can be had on eBay for less than $750.
