Today you will be getting a sneak peak at our new aero design.
By going back to this retro "Hot Rod" design we have been able to achieve some incredibly low drag coefficients while at the same time reaching 75 lbs of down-force at 30mph with only a diffuser!
Without giving too much away the trick has to do with the “snow plow” nose cone http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Anyhow we hope to see you all at competition.

That's for aero too. They're not going to give away ALL their secrets!

It's gotta be the right answer, after all Foose and Coddington can't always be wrong!

Must... resist... urge... to make a Plymouth Superbird.

You got it Pat, we did pull a lot of inspiration from them.
In part we figured that if these people had been building drag racing cars for all these years all in a similar style there had to be a reason.
A few CFD iterations… and boom there it was. That iconic front end and rounded rear gave some beautiful COD numbers.

You better make sure you don't have to pay any royalties on the use of that front end!

I think it would be hilarious for a non-aero team to run a bodykit like this at comp. There could be awards.

There's already a "Most Interesting Push-Bar" award at Michigan. Why not a "Most Quirky Body" or something along those lines.

I've always thought the shark-teeth nosecone on Texas A&M's Hybrid car would do well for an "Interesting Body" award.
