Anyone actually have good luck with any of the wheel manufacturers this year?

I really liked the BBS 1-piece wheels early in the year, but they were basically impossible to get in contact with for anything. Apparently not just for us, as I noticed the prominent "anti-BBS" vinyl on the back of NC State's car!

Kodiak basically completely flaked out on our wheel order. Claimed a 6-week turnaround on rim halves.. simple order of a couple 4" inners and 2" outers. Still waitin for those..

Jongbloed's prices went through the roof..

What's Jongbloed charging now? We paid $1350 a few months ago. Not cheap.

We had the same issue with Kodiak in 2002 (nice to see some things never change). We ordered full wheels in Jan, and didn't see them until they were shipped to our hotel in Pontiac. When we got them, they had the wrong center bore size (too big, later they worked with some machined spacers). Luckily we had the exact same size on the previous year's car and just ran those.

Jongbloed is still one of the best out there in terms of both wheel stiffness and quality...I have seen many a square wheel with both Kodiak and Keizer.

Does anyone now where do teams get their OZ or BBS wheels from? I've seen teams like Penn state had them at Detroit. Is there somebody else making mag center locks?

I don't recall what the Jongbloed quote was, but if I recall correctly it was something like $1200 for just a set of rim halves.. $1400 for a full set of wheels plus shipping.

Boggles my mind how the rim halves are $300 per wheel and the centers are only $50.
