For those teams that have ECU's with TTL level igntion drivers what coils or coil/ignition driver combo's do you use. I'm looking at an ECU that has TTL level outputs. It'd be nice to have a COP so keep the system looking clean although seems most factory COP's are going to be bigger than the stock honda ones we use currently.

We used an AEM system last year, with our own ignition driver using IGBT's (high current, spike of 50 amp, steady state of about 5). I don't remember if it was truly TTL level, but it's a mute point really. If you're interested I could find out what exact ones they were.
We used the stock COP's from the F4i

The megasquirt standard are VB921s. They have built in current limiting. Pretty robust little chips.

So you just had a small circuit board with the IGBT's on it between the ECU and coils? I was thinking of that but hoping maybe someone had found a coil with it all built in that would still fit in the tiny honda head.

I believe that the Chrysler 300M has COP units with a built in igniter. I might be mistaken but I believe that is the case. I think I saw this on the AEM forums in a discusion of COP units being used on various non-stock Car applications. The Honda bike units were amongst the favorite choice being used on a variety of different cars.
