Ok, for those old timers with a good memory, can anyone tell me where the after-party was in 2003 FSAE-A? It was in Murray Bridge, but what building/business? I remember some bits from the night, like coloring my hair, but not the venue.
I'm trying to make some maps of my past travels and coming up short.
P.S. bonus points if someone from Swinburne can tell me what trailer park I ended up at later that night

Wasnt it the local rsl on the waters edge? I checked the competition guide and nothing there with specific details. Some of the other gong boys might know, i'll ask around.

It was on the water's edge. What is a RSL?

Good work mate, that was the place. Can't remember the name, but I'd recognize that carpark anywhere (spent quite a bit of time walking around it aimlessly during the night). I reckon '03 afterparty was one night I won't forget in a long time.
I'm glad to see you got the Murray Bridge Bunyip enclosure in there too, (bottom right hand corner, on the waters edge). I hope you ducked out to check it out during the night. One of the great tourist attractions of the Southern Hemisphere (right up with the Giant Koala at Dadswell's Bridge). Well worth the 20c donation.....
As for where you ended up - well I didn't wake up next to you. So that's one down, maybe you could work through process of elimination. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Cheers mate,

Thanks for the confirmation Geoff! I recognize the parking lot, more than anything, too.
If anyone has the name I'd be interested, but I mostly wanted to map the place. I have a terrible memory, so I like to document things.
Luckily I ended up the night at our motel, but on the way there we stopped by a trailer park where we continued drinking with some Swinburne guys. I have very little recollection of that so I suspect there's little hope to map it.

Charlie,
I think it was called the Murray Bridge Rowing club. I'd check in with Felicity "Flick" Wright who still works at SAE-Australasia. Both her and Erin Heasman organised the night there, but Erin doen't work for SAE anymore.
Geoff, very interested to know who you did wake up next to then??
Cheers
Steve
