Amazing work Seb. You guys are thinking everything through and not cutting any corners (back purging the exhaust).

My one and only concern so far is the "supposed to be coolest part of the intake charge" less than 20 thou from the header. I personally thought the placement below the wing was a better location but I understand the adjustability issue. There would have been was to work around it. But I'm sure you have your reasoning for doing it the way you did. Keep up the good work.

The intercooler was moved closer to act as a reference while building the header. It was moved back out with the correct spacers after the jig was made. It sits about 1/4 inch away from tube. Its also in direct airflow. A duct will be built onto the cooler that will grab air and direct it right into the core.


I was actually going to mount the the front nose piece but talk about a piping nightmare.

Ditto. I have never been able to get Al to wick into a fillet that well, what was the filler alloy?

I was not quite sure what you were saying about the Wiggins allowing more relative movement, do you get more allowable movement than using say a rubber / silicon hump connector?

5356 filler rod

a wiggens clamp allows movement without having to loosen and re tighten. Obviously more movement could be had with a silicone coupler depending on how long you made it.
