During a pre formula student test session one of our drivers had a little off. It was a frontal head on impact, with the brunt of it going through the wheels. There were a few bent components but nothing too bad.

The odd thing is both the front Risse Jupiter 5 shocks are now seized, i dont think the shafts are bent as they are completely seized, no progressive binding on, but do not look noticeably bent. There are no marks on them, they have not been hit, no scuffs, one of the bump stops was rammed up the top of the shock suggesting a heavy bottoming out, but all seals seem fine, and no signs of oil blow out etc.

We wondering if anyone else has had anything similar happen, before the impact the shocks were brand new with an hours use tops.

Cheers

2 possible reasons why the shock is locked in place:
-shaft is bent or the piston has become cocked
-shock has become hydraulically locked

what position are they locked in (ie full bump, full extension)?
