I do not yet have parts to measure, but I need to finish designing drive train parts. Can someone please tell me the overall width of a 520 chain and the bolt pattern dimensions on a rear F4i sprocket?

Thanks,
Daniel

Thanks, but this doesn't answer my question. If you look here:
http://www.peterverdone.com/archive/chainsandsprockets.htm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0)
You will see that they specify roller width, and inner and outer plate thickness. However, the thickest part of the chain is rivet. Its dimension is not listed anywhere in the link you provided.

I still need to know bolt pattern for the sprocket.... yes I searched.

My guess is that the bolt pattern would vary depending on the application, if it is an OEM one then find one and measure it, otherwise, make your own, find the forces and determine how many, what size and the pcd of your bolts.

For the roller chain dimensions you will have more luck with your copy of Machinery's Handbook. If you don't have a copy get it! As for the bolt pattern that will depend on your application and what type of diff your car is using. Unless you plan on using the rear hub off that GSXR I wouldn't just copy the bolt pattern.

I was going to buy a aftermarket f4i sprocket set for simplicity's sake.
