Our team is looking into two options, and are undecided on what we should do..
We have three different mounting positions for our RR and can not decide how we want to do it.
First.. Can the oilpan sit below the chassis? We could not find anything about it, but Im sure you experienced teams may know.
Secondly, if not, a dry sump is definitely an option, just more time consuming for our schedule as far as it is behind now..
The third option is to mount the motor so the oil pan fits within the chassis, but that changes our CG, which doesnt make me happy..
Your input is appreciated!

I beleive it was Carol Smith that said that if you have your oil pan hanging bellow the chassis without proper protection you deserve whatever happens.
Luckly, on the one car that had the oil pan bellow te floor we only one of the little feet (old YZF 600) off the pan.
Its a bit too close to competition to start thinking about dry sumps, its hard enough getting everything to work and not leak when you have alot of design and testing time.
I would say just raise the engine to avoid any issues. In the future I would suggest designing with some of the chassis rails 1/2" bellow the pan.
This close to the competition there are more important battles to fight than trying to lower the car's CG by a fraction of an inch.

Assuming when you say RR you mean a Honda, you may want to look at this.
