We are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers with 0-5 years experience for an immediate opening with Force Protection - General Dynamics Land Systems, a military truck manufacturer in Charleston, SC. Specific project involves developing the UK-designed Ocelot Specialty Vehicle to meet US Army needs. Candidates should be creative and energetic problem solvers who posses excellent work ethic and attention to detail. Candidates must be able to rapidly learn and effectively utilize design revision control software. Candidates will use SolidWorks CAD software on a daily basis to contribute to the design of military automotive components in a fast-paced and rewarding R&D environment.

Solidworks CAD software experience necessary
PTC Windchill PLM software experience a huge plus

Mechanical drawing/drafting, GD&T, ASME Y14.5 experience desired
Heavy truck/automotive design experience desired
Sheetmetal and welded assembly design experience desired
Design/redesign for manufacturability experience desired
