Aprilia SXV 550 Part Number (Texas A&M??) [Archive]

We are currently looking into the Aprilia engine for future use. We need some help. Everyone that we talk to say that they need a part number for the engine, and that they can't find it. Could any of the teams using an Aprilia help us out with a part number?

Yea, we saw those. The engines in the pics there are the RXV's. We knew about that but just wanted to try and get the engine with the gearing that we would like.

Hey mate, been looking into these engines myself. http://www.aprilia-sxv.de/forum/filebase.php?cat=3 They have a fair bit of info on there about the Aprilias, but you'll have to register to get at it.

Also, from the engine manuals, it appears that the two engines also have different valve timing as well as the different gearboxes. Not sure if you knew that but thought I'd let you know.

The SXV550 engine part number is AP91990035. I have the Aprilia parts manual for these bikes if you wish to email me on clarkea7@cf.ac.uk I'll send you over a copy (don't think I can attach things here). Also have engine manuals etc which may be of use. Offer is open to any teams which want it.
