hey can anyone suggest what materials can be used for the a-arms,etc

It all depends on your loads, weight targets, cost targets, and tolerable compliances. Put on your flame suit.

With this being your first post, I feel this is necessary before we continue..
Go up to the stickies and read the "If you are new here..." post. It's pretty important. Then I would point you to consider the "reasoning your way through the FSAE design process" post. You don't have to read all of it, just skim it, and consider it.

Once you have done that, this forum will be much more receptive. But, I will leave you with a starting point for material selection.

Can you describe the forces in the control arms, push/pull rods?
Can you describe what your goals are in the design?
